These projects specifically included monitoring of avifauna, turtles, snakes, frogs, and salamanders as well as vegetation community classification and mapping based on a species sensitivity rankings.

Chana has worked on several road ecology projects and through this work has identified interaction hotspots, discovered a previously unknown population of Pickerel Frogs, and developed mitigation recommendations. She also has experience with Bird Studies Canada (BSC), Ecological Monitoring and Assessment Network (EMAN) protocols, and has provided input to road ecology monitoring protocols. In addition to working extensively at the regional level, Chana has worked with the Parks Canada and played an integral role in the establishment of Rouge National Urban Park.
