Margot has more than 15 years of experience as a Consulting Ecologist and has special expertise in municipal natural heritage planning, urban forest management planning, facilitation of stakeholder / community consultations, and ecological research. She regularly manages projects and works as part of multi-disciplinary teams providing support for a wide range of environmental and planning projects in both the public and private sectors.

Margot has applied experience in the development and implementation of Natural Heritage Systems and strategies in Ontario, and also regularly provides natural heritage policy review. She has worked with more than a dozen municipalities to develop urban forest management plans, and has also been a lead researcher of ecological reviews for public agencies and non-governmental organizations.

As part of her work, Margot has coordinated and facilitated consultations with municipal staff, technical steering groups, Councillors, stakeholder groups, and the broader community for a wide range of projects related to natural heritage and urban forestry. She has also conducted peer reviews for natural heritage studies and has provided expert witness testimony before the Ontario Municipal Board.
